I would like to invite you to a free projection of a brand new documentary movie Auto*Mat. Auto*Mat is a Prague based initiative promoting biking as an equal and advantegous mean of city transport. It's the Prágai organizer of the regular Bike rides.
The movement was originaly founded by film documentarist Martin Mareček in 2003. Auto*mat developed throughout last 6 years and acitivties, events and obstacles to this development are the subject of the 1,5h long movie documentary.
The movie went to the cinemas in september 2009 and in April goes on DVD. I participate on the Right to the City workshop organized by Artemisszio in Pest till the end of next week. I would like to propose you to a)either come on Tuesday 23 at 8 p.m. to the center Casa de la Musica in Vas utca b)or if you re interested we may organize a special screening in another space chosen by you... Movie is subtitled in English. Besides thanksgiving reviews in the media Auto*Mat was already awarded the public prize on the Jihlava documentary festival (one of the largest documentary festivals in Europe...). I am very interested in your movie, from what I saw in the trailer, you guys are doing some pretty cool direct action in Prague, with policemen, street performances and stuff :-) It's always fun to learn something that we can make use of here, in Budapest. I especially like the way you promote not only cycling but pedestrian traffic too.
So just to check if I understood well: in either case there will be a sreening on 23th at 8 pm, and IF you have a huge group of people eager to watch it, you can organize another occasion?

the thing is that we re in a hostel where we ve got a room where we may push in OK - 40 people in a very punk way...;)this is what I dispose now... if on the other hand you had any idea of a more suitable space for screening (a community center?)and helped me to organize it, then till friday I'm here...
I see. I did not know what kind of place is this Casa de la musica. In that case maybe we the Hungarian Cyclists' Club can help us finding a larger venue with projector. I will ask them about it ASAP.
I also find this program interesting. I'll go to Casa if I can. (Is it free?)

so I communicated it within these couple days with people (Ákos) from Magyar kerekpáros klub and it seems like today it could be decided about a projection (probably free or for a very symbolic fee;) on Friday evening probably in Pedál or in Docuart. Yet to be confirmed:)
